Our client in the Mississauga area is currently looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Customs Administrator to join their team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with customs regulations, managing documentation, and facilitating the smooth flow of international shipments. The ideal candidate should possess a solid understanding of B3 documents, NAFTA guidelines, and have proven proficiency in SAP. Key responsibilities include:
- Customs Compliance: Ensure adherence to all customs regulations and guidelines, staying updated with changes in customs laws and requirements.
- Document Management: Prepare and review B3 documents, including accurate classification, valuation, and submission to customs authorities.
- Trade Agreements: Familiarity with NAFTA guidelines, including the determination of eligibility, preparation of Certificates of Origin, and tracking compliance with regional trade agreements.
- SAP Expertise: Utilize your proficiency in SAP to facilitate customs processes, record-keeping, and generate necessary reports.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, such as logistics, supply chain, and finance, to ensure accurate and timely customs clearance.
- Problem Solving: Address and resolve any customs-related issues, such as duty disputes, tariff classifications, and discrepancies in documentation.
- Record Keeping: Maintain meticulous records of customs documentation, duties, taxes, and compliance efforts.
- Bachelor\'s degree in International Trade, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience as a Customs Administrator or in a similar role with in-depth knowledge of customs regulations, B3 documents, and NAFTA guidelines.
- Proficiency in SAP or other relevant software for customs management and reporting.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data entry.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to resolve customs-related issues
