The opportunity

The primary focus of the Customer Service Officer is to contribute to the achievement of branch targets and goals by providing administrative support to all areas of the branch and through the management of critical operational processes. Through the management of all Optimum Mortgage internal accounts, the role will ensure that Bank procedures and processes are diligently followed in an accurate, well organized and efficient manner.

Areas of focus

  • Provide a high level of customer service that consistently exceeds expectations and enhances the relationship with all you come in contact with.
  • Ensure accurate processing of all Optimum Mortgage administration activities such as loan payouts, creation of payout statements, processing of renewals, payment processing, etc.
  • Contribute to the achievement of branch targets and goals by providing administrative support to the branch lending team(s) by diligently following bank procedures and processes in an accurate, well organized and efficient manner.
  • Help manage incoming customer service inquiries (phone, email, etc.) received from Optimum Mortgage clients.
Successful incumbent

Education
  • Some post secondary education, or equivalent experience.
Professional Experience
  • One or more years of providing great customer service!
  • Some banking background or knowledge
  • One or more years of administration work, preferably with some exposure to mortgage administration.
  • Solid knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
Personal Competencies
  • Excellent communicator, organizer and finisher.
  • Results-driven and deadline-driven, especially in a high volume, fast-paced team environment.
  • Highly-motivated to ensure accuracy in all things.
  • Able to work in a fast paced, high volume environment and keep a keen attention to the details while navigating the systems
  • Highly-flexible, with interpersonal skills you pride yourself on.
