Customer Service Freight Coordinator



Frontier Supply Chain Solutions Inc. (Frontier) is a medium sized provider of US and Canadian Customs Services, Trade Consulting, Supply Chain Logistics, including parcel and courier delivery. We are seeking energetic and motivated Coordinator to join our Logistics team.

Working in a small team and responsible for the coordination for the flow of communication and documentation for our freight clients, you will play a key role in managing and optimizing our shipping operations. You will be exposed to several areas of our logistics operations, being cross trained in synchrnonized tasks such as freight documentation, communication with shippers and/or customs brokers, coordination and timing of freight movement with internal teams. Exposure and practical learning in processing claims and line haul driver interaction will be provided as needed..

The ideal candidate will have experience in the customs or transportation industries, demonstrating strong critical thinking skills, excellent organizational abilities with a customer-focused, adaptable and team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities to include:



Dispatching and Coordinating freight activity, including scheduling, monitoring, tracking, and communicating with all internal and external parties. Reviewing and attaching appropriate stickers to documents (such as bills of lading) to provide for efficient customs clearances. Coordinating with customs brokers, resolving any issues and ensuring regulatory compliance is met. Managing customer shipments, including scheduling pickups and tracking shipments from the U.S. to our firm's U.S. warehouse. On going communication and coordination with our warehouse teams in the U.S and Canada regarding freight handling, processing, and special instructions. On going communication with carriers and local fleet team to resolve delays and track shipments. Completing claims processes while maintaining timely communication with all involved parties regarding progress, resolution, or delay. Collaborating with the business development team on customer concerns and/or account setup. Participating and sharing in process improvements and internal and external issues.

Skills You Will Bring:



Strong computer skills, with the ability to quickly learn in-house software programs. Capable of prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines with accuracy in a fast-paced environment. Accountable and dependable, with a positive, team-oriented attitude. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create and modify formulas and spreadsheets. Skilled in Microsoft Outlook and Word for effective communication and reporting. Willing to engage in logistics projects and conduct Excel analyses as needed. Committed to personal development and continuous learning. 1 to 3 years of experience in a logistics or customer service coorindiation based role is an asset. Post-secondary education with a focus on supply chain logistics or transportation is an asset.
