Northwest region of the United States. SUMMARY OF POSITION The primary focus is Customer Service, however we require you to be able to work in a door shop, hanging and milling doors. This position is critical to the successful operation of a Windsor Plywood Store.
We require the Sales staff to work with our customers through the entire sales cycle \xe2\x80\x93 from initial greeting of customer by name to the final handshake after loading vehicle. The products require a solution & suggestion-based approach to compliment our customers\xe2\x80\x99 projects. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure every customer experience exceeds the customer\xe2\x80\x99s expectations \xe2\x80\x93 \xe2\x80\x9cgo the extra-mile\xe2\x80\x9d
  • Promote features/benefits of all products & services provided \xe2\x80\x93 \xe2\x80\x9cdrive sales\xe2\x80\x9d
  • Loading, transporting, and delivering items to customers in a safe, timely manner
  • Shipping & Receiving | Ensure all inventory leaving/entering Yard has paper-work
  • Support Sales staff during sales process: quoting, material lists & timelines
  • Communicate professionally regarding follow-up, change-orders and installation instructions
  • Find innovative methods to supply products to customers currently out of stock
  • Placing regular stocking & Special Orders
  • Processing front-counter transactions
  • Ability to identify doors - styles, hardware, mortises, grades, dimensions, and species
  • Operate Shop in a diligent, efficient & safe manner
  • Ensure Shop & Equipment is in a clean, presentable & safe-to-operate manner
  • Ensure all product spaces (shelf, floor, pegs, racks) are adequately stocked
  • Actively monitor stock levels, cleanliness, accuracy of signs & store navigation
  • Diligently follow Check-lists, policies, processes & procedures
  • Assisting Contractors and other customers with locating products
  • Assisting in the Shop and with Deliveries if needed
  • Unloading of Transport Trucks, Deliveries & Customer vehicles
  • Operate Forklift in a diligent, professional & safe manner
KEY REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum Grade 12 Education
  • Prior 1- 2 years Delivery Driver, Carpentry/ Door Hanging experience is an asset
  • Applicants with prior Building Supply or Woodworking experience will be given preference.
However, applicants with professional skills from other industries will be strongly considered and provided industry training from Windsor Plywood.
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivated/self-directed, with an ability to work independently using sound judgment, logical reasoning skills, and intuition
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to be personable and social with customers to help deliver sales
  • Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively, always mindful of the customer
  • Flexible, honest, acting in all situations with professionalism and integrity
  • Able to deal with changes, delays, or unexpected events in a professional & timely manner
  • Able to use woodworking machinery for minimal routine cuts to support large projects in the Shop
  • Permanent resident of Canada preferred
  • A Drivers License (Class 5) with a clean Driver Abstract is required
