Duties
Prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes according to established recipes and standards
Supervise kitchen staff, including cooks and food service personnel, ensuring efficient workflow
Oversee food handling procedures to maintain safety and hygiene standards
Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with health regulations
Lead menu development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative culinary techniques
Train new staff members on food preparation, safety protocols, and service standards
Collaborate with restaurant management to ensure customer satisfaction and operational excellence
Serve as a role model for team management, fostering a positive work environment
Skills
Proven experience in Indian food preparation, cooking, and food service within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Supervising experience with team management capabilities
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling procedures
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
Skilled in restaurant management, including inventory control and menu planning
Demonstrated expertise in kitchen operations, food industry trends, and hospitality standards
