As we continue to expand, we are seeking a talented Line Chef/Cook to join our team and help maintain the high standards of our franchise brand.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook Indian and Indo Chinese dishes, including curries, tandoori items, rice, breads, and desserts, following our recipes and quality standards.
Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion size for all dishes.
Manage kitchen prep, including chopping, marinating, and ingredient preparation.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
Assist in menu planning and suggesting new dishes or specials based on seasonal ingredients.
Monitor inventory levels and help manage food stock to minimize waste.
Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations.
Follow food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
Adapt to varying kitchen demands, ensuring service is punctual and high-quality.
Experience
Previous experience of at least 2 years as a chef or cook, is required in an Indian restaurant or with Indian cuisine.
Strong knowledge of Indian cooking techniques, spices, and ingredients.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to follow recipes and adapt to the restaurant's unique style.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Flexibility with hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
