About the Role





The Culture & Experience Coordinator helps bring our values to life through experiences that strengthen belonging, recognition, and well-being across the workplace.



This role helps build a healthy, inclusive, and connected employee experience, coordinating initiatives such as professional development, team building, cultural observances, and recognition events that celebrate the diversity of our workforce.



It also supports the volunteer coordinator and practicum placements, ensuring that everyone who contributes to the organization feels welcomed, appreciated, and connected to our mission.



Working closely with the People and Communications Team, this position is a bridge-builder, linking people, programs, and purpose to make every experience meaningful and inclusive.

Key Contributions




Activate culture, belonging, and engagement through the coordination of values-based activities such as Connects Days, appreciation events, and cultural observances. Partner with employee-led groups (i.e., Employee Engagement, DEI, Health & Safety) to co-design and evaluate inclusive workplace initiatives. Support storytelling and recognition by collaborating with team, department and employees to highlight staff impact and culture-in-action. Coordinate practicum and support volunteer experiences, including on-boarding, recognition, and evaluation, in partnership with placement leads. Manage logistics for organization-wide staff events and engagement activities, ensuring accessibility and alignment with values and strategy. Track participation and feedback to measure engagement and inform future improvements.



What It Takes





We recognize that people grow and learn in many ways. Success in this role blends formal learning with hands-on coordination experience in people, culture, or community-focused environments.


Diploma in Human Resources, Communications, Organizational Development, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Three (3) years of progressive experience in employee engagement, practicum coordination, event planning, or organizational culture roles. Experience organizing inclusive, organization-wide initiatives that enhance belonging and connection. Strong understanding of inclusive, trauma-informed, and values-based practices that promote well-being, equity, and positive workplace relationships. Excellent communication, coordination, and relationship-building skills. Comfort with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and digital collaboration tools.



Assets:




Experience in event planning, project management, or DEI initiatives. Familiarity with HR systems (BambooHR, ADP) and engagement tools (Power BI, survey dashboards, LMS). Training in Mental Health First Aid, DEI, or accessibility practices.
