Responsibilities

Safely operate different types of trucks including manual transmission vehicles, flatbeds, roll tites, dump and walking floor trailers to transport freight efficiently across designated routes. Load and unload cargo with precision, ensuring proper securing of freight. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of your vehicle to verify safety standards and mechanical condition. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes traveled, cargo details, and delivery documentation in compliance with federal and state regulations. Plan optimal routes for timely deliveries while adapting to traffic conditions or unforeseen obstacles. Communicate effectively with our dispatch team regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or any issues encountered on the road. Follow all safety protocols related to driving large commercial vehicles. Assist with the loading and unloading process when required to ensure cargo integrity and safety. Maintain a professional appearance and attitude while representing the company during deliveries.

Experience

Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on commercial driving environments. Prior delivery driver experience preferred, especially involving route driving across urban or rural areas. Hands-on experience operating various truck types including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, dump and walking floor trailers is highly desirable. Familiarity with load & unload procedures. Knowledge of safety standards related to manual transmission operation and specialized freight transportation. Ability to navigate using GPS systems and plan efficient routes for timely deliveries. Pay: $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 70 per week
