ANTH 210 - Archaeology of Early Cities
An introduction to the archaeology of early cities. Case studies include the cities of "great civilizations" (e.g. Egypt, Indus Valley, Inkan Empire), as well as the urban landscapes of lesser-known societies, such as Great Zimbabwe in sub-Saharan Africa.
August 27 - December 3, 2025: Tuesday & Thursday (11:35 am -12:55 pm)
Location: McConnell Engineering room 304
Teaching Qualification Requirements:
Education: MA required; Priority to holders of Ph.Ds with specialization in relevant areas, or near completion of degree.
Experience: Priority will be given to candidates with relevant field research background and experience in teaching archeology at the introductory level.
This course will be taught by one instructor in-person.
