This is a senior level professional position involving the analysis and assessment of budgetary, financial, personnel and administrative issues, proposals and activities of all provincial government departments and agencies, ensuring that such operations are in accordance with Treasury Board, fiscal and administrative policies. These activities involve assisting Ministers, Deputy Ministers and other senior department staff officials where possible. The incumbent is also expected to provide comprehensive advice and recommendations, with appropriate objective rationale and background to Treasury Board and/or Executive Council on financial and operational matters. The incumbent is also responsible to provide assistance for the development and maintenance of the PEI Government's Budgeting System, as well as the development and delivery of training programs for the budgeting system as it relates to budgeting and forecasting, as well as training for Treasury Board policies and procedures.
