As a member of the Clinical Information System (CIS) Operations team, this position is primarily responsible for managing the Implementation of system changes across 24 Solution areas Including application patches and upgrades as well as monitoring daily operational issues and system performance reports; managing system downtime procedures including the downtime applications within the facilities and leading the CIS Downtime PSSG; serving as liaison between CIS Operations team and external Service Providers so as to plan and implement technical solutions to support the ongoing and evolving operational needs for the CIS.
The work requires significant skills in the areas of Change and Release Management processes, project management, external Service Provider relationship management, strategic and operational planning, the development and supervision of staff and the ability to lead internal and external resources ln the operation and management of the Clinical Information System.
The position requires performing on call operations management support and issue escalation 24x7 for the Clinical Information System servicing approximately 4500 users in 7 hospital facilities and 4+ community health centres. The position is responsible for ensuring system availability, allowing for the delivery of critical care for Health PEI and its patients. This scope will expand with the further expansion on the IEHR (i.e. Electronic Medical Record or EMA).
The position reports directly to the CIS Operations Manager.
