We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dynamic Board & Corporate Support team (B&CS) at AstraZeneca. Our team is a well-respected part of the organization, based at our UK and Mississauga sites, and we work closely with the Legal function and other colleagues in our major hubs in the UK, Sweden, and the US. Our team supports AstraZeneca PLC\xe2\x80\x99s boards and committees, manages the Group\xe2\x80\x99s London, Stockholm and Nasdaq stock exchange listings and supports the Group\xe2\x80\x99s principal operating companies. We are involved in key business activities such as corporate disclosures, financings, production of the annual report and corporate transactions. We foster a collaborative environment, both within the team and when working with other areas of the business; but are not afraid to take the lead and take pride in the high standards we achieve and our ability to deliver under pressure.Typical Accountabilities:As a Corporate Governance Associate, you will report to the Deputy Company Secretary. You will be able to work independently and will have visibility with our senior leaders. Your role will involve working flexibly within the team to provide support on key matters and projects as they arise, as well as having your own ongoing responsibilities. These will include:Key corporate governance tasks related to our subsidiaries and the share capital of AstraZeneca PLCSupporting our share schemesManaging our and insider listsKey administrative responsibilities to support the team\xe2\x80\x99s work.Essential Skills/Experience:At least 2 years of corporate governance, company secretarial or legal experience coupled with a desire to expand your skill set.Well organized and experienced in administrative activities.Pragmatic approach to work; ability to take on, and prioritise, multiple workstreams.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Collaborative and keen to share knowledge with and learn from other team members.Desirable Skills/Experience:Company secretarial or other legal / governance qualification (obtained or partially completed).Experience working as a law clerk or paralegal licensureListed company experience and a good knowledge of the associated regulatory requirements.Governance experience and working knowledge of UK corporate governance regime or similar.Experience of managing insider lists.Experience working with subsidiary management software.Understanding of employee share schemes in a listed environment.Recognizing the importance of individualized flexibility, our ways of working allow employees to balance personal and work commitments while ensuring we continue to create a strong culture of collaboration and teamwork by engaging face-to-face in our offices 3 days a week.
