Status: Temporary Full Time (x1 - 12 months)

Work Location: Trillium Health Partners Foundation office at 89 The Queensway West, Mississauga, with some flexibility to work remotely.

The Role

The Donor Relations Coordinator supports the Direct Marketing team which is responsible for 13% of the Foundation gross revenue. Serving as the primary point of contact for DM donors. Executor of pivotal conversion, upgrade and loss aversion programs to increase overall file health. Fulfilling administrative tasks required to support Door to Door (D2D) program and maintenance of donor records.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Donor correspondence
  • Primary point of contact for Direct Marketing donors \xe2\x80\x93 managing all inbound DM donor communications, ensuring exceptional donor experiences and fostering long term meaningful relationships
  • Triaging all inbound donor communications
  • Capture all communications in CRM system
  • Responds to enquiries and resolve donor concerns
  • Monitor email inboxes
  • Manages acknowledgements and correspondence as required
  • Leading outbound communications
  • Monitoring and processing acquisition files
  • Receives acquisition file from vendor, verifies and provides approval for FA
  • Ensures files are received from the vendor on schedule, flagging delay impact on THP returning files
  • Checks for file format accuracy, returning file to vendor for any corrections required
  • Checks for duplicate acquisitions and non-compliant records, suppresses from file and notifies vendor records will be decline
  • Handeling at risk donors
  • Lead loss aversion tactics
  • Follow up with all cancelations and payment declines with the objective of saving the recurring gift or securing additional giving
  • Assess situation and apply loss aversion approach best suited
  • Capture all efforts in CRM regardless of the outcome
  • Conduct monthly review of efforts
  • Lead donor conversion and upgrade programs
  • Executes conversion, upgrade and loss aversion programs to increase overall file health
  • Action requests for cancelation by implementing loss aversion tactics to avoid loss
  • Monitors acquisition files flagging duplications, non compliance records
  • Carry out outbound appeals Utilize fundraising skills to quickly build trusting relationships will create the opportunity to ask for a gift and increase donor retention
  • Asking for one-time and monthly donations
  • Achieving program targets
  • Assist in other duties and special projects as required in furthering the goals of Direct Marketing team
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Keen interest in fundraising and direct marketing and desire to learn and develop as fundraiser
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or College diploma in Fundraising, Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, or a related discipline.
  • Working towards a certification or designation such as the CFRE (Certified Fund-Raising Executive) is considered an asset.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience including fundraising database management, donor relations, stewardship, recognition, and annual giving.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to write for different audiences and platforms.
  • Experience with donor databases, email marketing, and social media platforms.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
  • Microsoft suite of programs \xe2\x80\x93 Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point
  • Blackbaud - Raiser\xe2\x80\x99s Edge, NXT, Luminate
  • Google analytics
  • Mail Chimp
Work Environment
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and to tight deadlines as needed, prioritizing tasks with the Director\xe2\x80\x94some after-hours work may be required.
  • Working remotely during COVID-19 is supported and encouraged. Under more regular circumstances, work occurs at the Foundation office (89 Queensway W) with some flexibility to work remotely.
  • Valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license and access to a reliable vehicle an asset.
