Job Summary

WE Charity is seeking a Coordinator, Donor & Community Engagement to join our Annual Giving and Community Engagement team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for identifying, cultivating and stewarding donors, providing exceptional customer service and 360 engagement which connects people to our mission and helps achieve revenue targets to support our mission.

Reporting to the Director of Annual Giving and Events, the successful candidate is accountable for providing a comprehensive range of support services to the Annual Giving & Community Engagement team in order that WE Charity achieves its strategic fund development goals. These objectives include supporting: * The Donor Engagement department\xe2\x80\x99s vision to advance the profile of WE Charity to donors, prospects and other stakeholders to inspire ongoing commitment which will ensure a sustainable source of resources to meet the organization\xe2\x80\x99s current and future needs as we embark on our 25th anniversary campaigns.

  • The fostering of a donor-centered attitude and culture of philanthropy throughout the organization in order to maximize donor retention and develop acquisition opportunities outside of existing database.
Responsibilities and Duties

Coordination of Annual Giving Portfolio (40%)
  • Provide ongoing customer service to donors and fundraisers, including managing donate@we.org email and phone inboxes.
  • Work directly with accounting team to process ongoing donation requests and support fund allocations and tracking.
  • Process and fulfill all donor tribute cards
  • Support the execution of fundraising, recruitment and stewardship tactics, including email, telemarketing and direct mail touchpoints for house donor file.
  • Oversee external and internal calling strategy and data needs supporting WE\xe2\x80\x99s holiday campaign with a cross departmental revenue goal of more than $1.7M annually.
  • Oversee the thank you call strategy and execution for donors and fundraisers.
Community Event Administration (30%)
  • Provide support to over 100+ third party events in collaboration with the Manager of Fundraising Groups and Events and serve as account administrator and point of contact as assigned.
  • Support the management of fundraising teams and top fundraisers assisting with communications, registration, tracking and recruitment as assigned.
  • Help support the growth and execution of WE Charity\xe2\x80\x99s signature annual peer-to-peer fundraising campaign WE Walk for Water.
  • Work closely with donors to create event fundraising pages through the Crowdrise platform and provide digital fundraising resources.
  • Support the stewardship of donors and community event organizers.
  • Attend and represent WE Charity at various community events.
Monthly Donor Portfolio (20%)
  • Assist the Director in implementing monthly donor fundraising plan aimed at maximizing monthly donor conversion opportunities from variety of audiences including, donors, families, community partnership events, WE Day, etc.
  • Oversee database administration for monthly donor platform (including Artez events) keeping all donor files up to date with credit card, donation details and preferences.
  • Distribute all monthly donor welcome packages and email newsletters.
  • Coordinate monthly decline administration process and donor notifications.
Additional Administration Support (10%)
  • Support Operations team with database and tracking requirements such as pulling reports and fundraising metrics, performing file uploads, exporting mail files for mailing house, and acquisition list management.
  • Coordinate the purchase and delivery of department supplies.
  • Support the maintenance of Salesforce, and other donation CRMs, including data input and pulling reports as required.
  • Provide back-up to reception on an ad-hoc basis.
Qualifications and Skills

Required Criteria
  • A post-secondary degree or the equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • 1+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience working in fundraising/not-for-profit environment, customer service and/or in event planning.
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and demonstrated professionalism, judgment and discretion in dealing with confidential or sensitive matters.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to a high performing team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse group of staff and volunteers.
  • Proven ability to take initiative and remain solution driven.
  • A demonstrated ability to organize work, set priorities, meet deadlines and work under the pressure of time constraints.
  • Detail oriented with great organizational skills.
  • Experience using CRM donor database (Salesforce experience advantageous).
Advantageous Criteria
  • An understanding of international development programs, concept of social enterprise and belief in the power of youth, individuals and families to change the world.
  • Demonstrated commitment to volunteerism or growth within fundraising sector.
  • Knowledge of CRA Guidelines.
  • Personal alignment with WE\xe2\x80\x99s organizational core values
