At Peel Region, we can create lasting impact, together.The Role: Reporting to the Supervisor, Vaccine Management you will be responsible for managing and distributing publicly funded vaccine and supply to Region of Peel healthcare providers and Peel-Led vaccination clinics.What you will do in this role:

  • Handle vaccine in line with provincial and Peel Public Health requirements
  • Process publicly funded vaccine orders, vaccine picking, packing and distributing to internal and external clients such as healthcare providers in the Region of Peel
  • Receive, pick, pack, audit and distribute vaccine related supplies for Peel-Led vaccine clinics in the Region of Peel.
  • Count and track vaccine and clinical supplies.
  • Review and analyze vaccine orders and related documentation (i.e. vaccine fridge temperature logs)
  • Liaise via oral and written communication with vendors/physicians and other
  • Provide program information and problem solve unique vaccine or clinical supply ordering issues
  • Data entry and management to ensure accurate tracking of vaccine and supplies
  • Provide timely statistical reports on program metrics to generate Excel-based statistical reports on program metrics in Excel; filter, create formulas, and add graphs and pivot tables
  • Travel to regional sub-offices, clinic sites and healthcare provider offices for vaccine or supply transport
  • Co-facilitate staff training sessions
  • Order vaccine and supplies
  • Frequent lifting of vaccine coolers and clinical supply bins
  • Track and submit program invoices
What the role requires:
  • Secondary school graduate plus post-secondary office administration education or related field combined with a minimum of three years relevant experience or an equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Knowledge and experience with vaccine storage and transportation, including cold chain protocols
  • Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Suite and experience with database software; Panorama (inventory module), PEAR, Salesforce, COVax, MS Forms, Power BI
  • Work on-site at 7120 Hurontario, rotating shifts, with occasional weekends
  • Ability to travel to various sites (in a non-Region of Peel vehicle) to deliver vaccines and supplies as needed

  • Ability to independently lift/push/pull up to 30lbs of supplies

Nice to have:
  • Experience with inventory management systems and supply chain logistics
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and comprehensive knowledge of Ontario's Publicly Funded Immunization Schedule
  • Familiarity with quality improvement methods to enhance vaccine management processes.
