Full-Time Permanent, Edmonton, AB

CNIB invites you to build a career as unique as you! We are currently searching for a Coordinator, Team Operations! Reporting to the Manager, Programs and Operations, the Coordinator, Team Operations proactively and reactively supports business administrative responsibilities for the CNIB Alberta/Northwest Territories Team and Western Canada Leadership Team, ensuring all areas of operations run smoothly and efficiently. This position also provides administrative support to senior volunteer leadership groups.

  • Leads by example in bringing our values to life \xe2\x80\x93 working with passion, determination, ambition and a positive spirit to change people\xe2\x80\x99s lives, and society itself.
  • Provides administrative support to the senior leadership volunteer groups, management team and Western Canada Leadership team that includes scheduling of meetings, preparing meeting agendas, recording and distributing meeting notes and other correspondence in a timely manner.
  • Provides administrative support to the AB/NWT staff team including editing/formatting letters, reports, and presentations; photocopying and scanning documents; mail collection and distribution.
  • Ensures all materials/reports are in an accessible format.
  • Helps to develop, deliver, and monitor best-in-class (non-profit) programs. Works with the team to monitor outcome evaluation processes as well as collect relevant and meaningful outcome and impact information for our funders.
  • Assists with the development and stewardship of strong and effective partnerships with community organizations that are aligned to and/or can help further our mission, including other service delivery organizations, funding agencies, etc.
  • Liaises with Business Supports Services including People and Culture, Finance, IT and Property as required.
Requirements

Who you are
  • Strong interpersonal, diplomacy, influencing and communication skills.
  • Minute-taking skills and good knowledge of meeting protocols.
  • Able to facilitate and enhance team-efforts on a professional level and share specialized knowledge, experience and skills.
  • A track record of successful people management encompassing leading, managing and motivating teams of staff and volunteers.
  • Good relationship/team builder and networking skills with a variety of stakeholders. Able to develop, encourage and promote effective partnerships and community relations that supports CNIB\xe2\x80\x99s mission.
  • Excellent analytical, problem definition and-solving skills.
  • Proven time management, planning, coordinating and organization skills.
  • Able to multi-task, manage multiple projects with strong attention to detail.
  • Professional attitude, results oriented, strategic and flexible.
  • Proficient in MS Office 365: Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Proficient in using virtual platforms like Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
  • Proficient with Client Record Management systems; particularly Salesforce.
We want to hear from you if you have:
  • Certificate or diploma in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in administrative support ideally within a charity/not-for-profit organization or comparable role.
  • Knowledge of adaptive technology is an asset.
  • Personal or professional experience relating to blindness and vision loss is considered an asset.
  • Experience working with senior leadership volunteers.
  • Personal or professional experience relating to blindness and sight loss is considered an asset.
  • Personal or professional experience working with assistive technology and/or accessible environments is considered an asset.
Work Environment
  • Willingness to work flexible hours (including occasional evenings and weekends).
  • Willingness to work from different locations.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
