AltaGas \xe2\x80\x93 Coordinator, Terminal Operations - RIPET

The Coordinator, Terminal Operations works hand in hand with the Operations team to support operational procedures, and processes in regards to the facility, Offloading Rack, and Vessel Loading Operations. This position is located in Prince Rupert, BC. The successful candidate will work a shift of 14 on / 14 off \xe2\x80\x93 Currently, day shift only with future potential to change to an alternating Day shift/Night shift schedule.

This role is fly-in/fly-out and accommodations will be provided. This is not a camp based position.

Provide on-call support during off hours & weekends when required (emergency operations and/or vessel loading operations)

You Will:

Ensure that all works carried out by employees and contractors within the Terminal are following operational procedures, EHS policies, and processes (Control of Work Process\xe2\x80\x99)

Contribute to the reporting, incident entry, investigation and analysis of all incidents and take corrective measures

Assist with planning, monitoring, and execution of Training and Progression program of operations staff to ensure that all employees are competent

Understand, participate, and support management in the union agreement/collective agreement. Abiding by protocols that pertain to the collective agreement

Review rail schedules and planned yard movement of rail cars between holding tracks and unloading rack

Review pre-loading requirements, nomination process and VLGC loading plans

Document, track and optimize Rail and Vessel Operations to support improved logistics

Contribute to the operational execution of customer contracts in terms of delivery, administration, and claim settlements

Support coordination and execution of Engineering, MOC Coordination, Risk Watch, Project Planning, and Asset Management: (work management, maintenance planning/prioritization, and warehouse inventories/management)

Ensure that terminal facilities, utilities, and consumables are readily available, in good working condition and maintained

Expense / P-Card Reports: Coding, compiling receipts, and submission

You Have:

High School Diploma/GED required

5+ Years of Gas Plant or Terminal Operations with proven/progressive leadership experience

3rd Class Power Engineering Certificate, Mechanical and/or GPO preferred (4th Class Power Engineering certificate maybe be considered)

Rail Training certificate & MFSO (Marine Facility Security Officer) certificate, or willing to obtain

Proficiency in the use of windows-based applications

Exposure to EHS management systems, and Maximo an asset

Passion and commitment to the training and development of the team
