As of March 2022 Loblaw has adopted the following Hybrid working model (a combination of working between the office and remotely). Colleagues will continue working remotely up to 2 days a week, while spending the other 3 days in the office.

Overview:
The Talent Management Coordinator (co-op), plays a key role in supporting the team through the development and execution of various Talent initiatives \xe2\x80\x93 Performance Development, Mentoring, Succession Planning, and Outplacement. This role is focused on administrative and analytical tasks to support project plans and deliveries of each program.


The Talent Management Coordinator (co-op) reports directly to the Senior Manager, Talent Management and will partner with the broader Talent teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and manage the delivery of talent initiatives for new or existing programs (i.e. Mentoring, Succession Planning or Talent Ecosystem)
  • Support the Talent Management team by researching best practices for talent initiatives, taking into consideration the company\xe2\x80\x99s future growth and the external market
  • Oversee and triage the Performance, Mentoring and Culture mailboxes, ensuring all inquiries have been responded to in a timely manner
  • Monitor Workday Certificates, ensuring all colleagues have submitted accurate information
  • Assist with coordinating talent initiatives, including the development of presentation materials and collection of metrics
  • Schedule and attend various meetings related to Talent Management and monthly HR Coordinator meetings
  • Running several ad-hoc reports to collect metrics and report on status updates and defined measures (i.e. completion goal setting)
  • Update existing training materials as needed by partnering with the Learning Partner
  • Draft and prepare ongoing communications to promote talent initiatives and correspond with colleagues throughout HR and the larger organization
  • Partner with various Talent teams to support their initiative as required (ex. Supporting recruitment efforts, assisting the Culture and Diversity & Inclusion team with initiative)
  • Perform additional duties such as required


Knowledge/Skills:
  • Pursuing or completing either a University Degree or Post-Graduate Certificate in Human Resources or Business
  • Proficiency with the MS Office Suite, including exceptional Excel and PowerPoint skills required. Org Publisher experience is an asset.
  • Experience with Workday is preferred
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to interact comfortably and professionally with internal and external stakeholders
  • Bilingualism is considered an asset
  • Demonstrates strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize work by managing team expectations
  • Identify trouble spots, Workday issues and/or gaps in service and raise recommendations to close those gaps
  • Demonstrated experience in being innovative, taking initiative and being proactive
  • Ability to exercise good judgment, discretion and initiative in dealing with confidential information and/or in responding to inquiries
