Position Summary

Reporting to the Manager, Environment, the Coordinator, Environment will coordinate and/or perform a wide variety of administrative, office, and support activities for the Environment department. This position serves as a primary point of administrative contact for internal personnel and participates in the coordination and completion of ongoing projects and/or events.

This is a hybrid role, working both remotely and in the office based out of Fort Saskatchewan plant site, following Sherritt\xe2\x80\x99 s Flexible Work Arrangements Policy

Accountabilities

  • Coordinates, prepares and monitors the department budget / long-range planning process specific to Environment, including reporting
  • Manages Environment Department document control, including file management, management of the SharePoint sites and environmental database(s)
  • Assists with updating and submitting of mandatory reporting requirements for regulatory bodies as required
  • Maintains documents and procedures that support an effective ISO 14001 system
  • Assists with the preparation and implementation of environmental audits (CEMS, GHG, ISO, etc.)
  • Assists in work order creation and purchase requisitions in the EAM operating system
  • Supports development, implementation, and monitoring of key performance indicators that support continuous improvement related to environment, within scope area
  • Ensures department supplies, including IT equipment, are adequately organized, ordered and delivered as per agreements with internal and external suppliers
Qualifications and Skills
  • Certificate and/or diploma in Business Administration from a post\xe2\x80\x90secondary institution or similar certificate is preferred
  • 5+ years of administration experience.
  • Understanding of Teams and SharePoint
  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to use systems, tools and organizational skills to work independently, organize workload and set priorities appropriately.
  • Intermediate computer skills (MS Office Suite, SharePoint)
  • Document development and management skills
