Core Purpose & Essence of the Position

Manage & support implementation of a supply chain project in Calgary, Alberta. The project includes supporting the setup of a new Distribution Center for an omni channel retail & ecommerce inventory receiving, storage & order fulfillment operation. The Coordinator will be directly reporting to the Sr. Manager of Engineering & will work closely with key internal stakeholders in Engineering, Operations, Business Development, IT & HR.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Project Management

• Maintain & monitor project plan & schedule for implementation of the Calgary operation
• Support Project Manager with local coordination of resources, equipment, meetings, and information
• Support Project Manager with sub-projects, coordinate on-site tasks with resources & equipment
• Support Project Manager with documentation & validations
• Support project implementation strategy using DSV\'s standard processes

Site Management

• Coordinate with vendors, contractors & security the opening & closing of DSV Calgary facility
• Ensure adherence to local & DSV safety protocols for vendors, contractors, other project resources & visitors

Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with operations & engineering for on-site quality assurance
• Work closely with operations to develop & implement training programs, KPIs, SOPs, UAT, process handovers etc.
• Work closely with WMS & IT engineers to manage testing / implementation, IT scope, budget & change management
• Work closely with HR to execute hiring plans, facilitate onboarding of operational teams to support testing & Go-live of new clients

Technical

• Effective communicator on opportunities for risks, budget variances, scope creep etc.
• Assess project risks & provide solutions where applicable
• Prepare presentations & status reports for internal & external stakeholders

Required Competencies
Education &/or Experience

• Bachelor\'s Degree in any of the following - Communications, Business, Applied Science.
• Minimum 2-3 years of Project Management experience is required
• PMP or similar project management training certification or working towards one is highly desirable
• Minimum 1 year experience in warehousing environment is an asset

Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency of MS Project, PowerPoint & Excel is required
• Intermediate Knowledge of AutoCAD is preferrable

Communication Skills

• Excellent verbal & written skills
• Able to communicate concepts, drive discussions to generate ideas & solve problems
• Customize response based on audience

Organizational Skills

• Task prioritization & time management skill
• Able to set expectations across various stakeholders and delegate tasks as required

Other

• This position will require to be on site at DSV Calgary Facility
