Main Purpose and Function The Clubhouse Coordinator provides operational leadership for the revenue operations of the Clubhouses and Pitch and Putts and supports the sales and delivery of tournament and special events bookings.
Specific Duties/Responsibilities

  • Directly supervises employees at 3 Clubhouse locations and 3 Pitch & Putt kiosks during the operational season.
  • Oversite of sales, contracting and delivery of all Tournaments and Special Events with the support of the F&B Operations Team Leader.
  • Proactively address customer concerns towards positive outcomes and ensure quality service standards and customer service requirements are being followed.
  • Participate in health and safety meetings and administrate the subsequent actions items as outlined in the health and safety requirements.
  • Set work priorities, hire, discipline and assist with completing performance reviews for all reporting employees.
  • Strategically determine staffing levels and operational hours to achieve budget expectations
  • Responsible for oversite of weekly Pitch and Putt and Clubhouse administration including purchasing, payroll, scheduling, time and attendance and maintenance requests.
  • Analysis and reporting of budget results pertaining to Pitch & Putt Operations and Clubhouses.
  • Provide ongoing mentorship and performance management of employees at their worksites. Work proactively to create a positive work culture and deliver yearly performance reviews.
  • Assist with monthly food and liquor inventory management and reporting
  • Attend Clubhouse, Pitch & Putt and Golf Operations Team meetings and other meetings as required.
  • Build collaborative relationships and support an open and constructive dialogue with employees and contractors in the Golf Ops Team.
  • Facilitate employee guidelines and expectations within a unionized environment
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Position Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a Golf or Hospitality Management role preferably in a unionized environment.
  • Post-Secondary education in Hospitality or Event Management/Golf Management
  • Tournament and Special Event Coordinating experience considered an asset.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Experience operating multi-unit food services with 15+ employees
  • Demonstrate experience in HR management, including recruiting, performance management and resolving grievances.
  • Demonstrates experience in budget management and meeting or exceeding profit targets.
  • Demonstrates leadership with the ability to set personal goals and objectives, team management, conflict resolution, coaching and performance management
  • Proven success in Golf Tournament and Special Event sales and delivery.
  • Knowledge of all regulatory health and safety requirements in a F&B environment.
  • Proven accuracy pertaining to all financial and inventory reporting processes
  • Successful at building collaborative partnerships with internal and external stakeholders and staff
  • Must be Serving Right Certified
  • Must have Food Safe Certification
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 20kg.
  • Must be able to travel between multiply work sites with reliable transportation.

Where operationally appropriate and subject to change, the City of Vancouver has a Flexible Work Program. This program allows staff to work remotely 1 \xe2\x80\x93 4 days a week from locations that are a daily commutable distance from their work at a City worksite. At this time this position is eligible to be part of the Flexible Work Program.
The City\xe2\x80\x99s COVID-19 vaccination policy is currently suspended and as a result, vaccination against COVID-19 is not required at this time.
