Your responsibilities in this role
- Evaluate, implement and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies
- Work closely with executive team and partners to ensure efficient and successful firm-wide operation
- Inspect deliverables of self and team to ensure that they meet client expectations
- Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor them monthly
- Lead the operations of the finance department which includes accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll
- Handle monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis
- Comfortable in taking on tasks beyond formal job responsibilities
- Handle daily cash management and produce cash-flow reports, calculating cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals
- Drive the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques to ensure the timely cash collection
- Research, plan and implement Finance Department initiatives including software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as needed

Requirements

- Progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred
- Earlier experience in public accounting is highly valued
- Strong communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations
- Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
- Detailed and have the ability work independently
- Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
- Excellent analytical, quantitative and social skills
- Strong communication and social skills and able to receive criticism well
- Prior work in technology, analytics and management experience desired
- Account Setup experience preferred
- Proven knowledge of month end closings
- Expertise in financial analysis
- Solid understanding of US GAAP
- Solid understanding of Consolidation Processes
- Hands-on experience with budgeting
- Comprehension of Annual Operating Budget
- Well-founded grasp of Acquisition Integration
- Earlier work involving Analyze Variance
- Account analysis experience
- Practical knowledge of Analyze Financial Statements
- Proven knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)
- General familiarity with Actual Variance Analysis
- Skills in Annual Forecasts
- Foundational knowledge in risk management
- Wide ranging experience with Analyze Trends
- Accounts Payable (AP) experience
- Strong familiarity with consolidations
- Experience with Monthly Statements
- Account Records experience
- Command of account reconciliation
- Previous experience working with Annual Financial Reporting
- Experience with Budget Processes
- Quality experience with Analyze Revenues
- Prior experience with budget forecasting\
- Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines
- CPA/MBA preferred
