Robert Half is searching for an ambitious Controller eager to join the team at a reputable Construction/Contractor company. In this leadership position, you will direct an accounting and clerical department. The Controller plans and directs all accounting operational functions, handles the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluates accounting and internal control systems, and leads departmental staff. Our client, located in North Toronto, from the commercial construction industry is preparing for some succession planning. Requirements

As a strong candidate for this unique, diverse role, you bring proven leadership skills and demonstrated accounting expertise in general and financial accounting (up to and including preparation of Financial Statements). While an accounting designation is certainly an asset, strong progressive candidates with tremendous relevant experience may also be considered. Your demonstrated ability to multitask and trouble shoot, along with your passion for doing things well and working collaboratively, makes this a WIN/WIN!
