Job Details: Full-time. Permanent. Office (no hybrid and no remote).The Norstar Group is an innovative and diversified group of companies involved in Agriculture, Environmental and Construction industries.Job Summary: Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Accountant will be experienced in a variety of accounting duties, including full-cycle financial statements preparation, account reconciliations and account analysis.Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including working papers, accruals, and journal entries
• Perform monthly account reconciliations and reports on a timely basis
• Perform variance analysis on internal monthly financial statements

• Provides detailed analysis as required on specific issues / projects
• Other duties as may be assigned

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Qualifications:

• Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation
• 3 years of accounting experience, experience in multi-entity environment is an asset
• Commitment to continuous improvement and excellent customer service

• Advanced computer skills using accounting software; experience with Sage is an asset
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, with excellent knowledge of Excel
