Job Summary

We have a contract opportunity available for a professional Content Specialist to oversee the planning, development and management of informational and promotional content produced and distributed by Levitt-Safety. In this role, you will work with internal stakeholders to identify content needs, manage all writing material created for business purposes, from web content to online guides and blog articles to newsletters and social media posts. Your responsibilities will also include publishing our monthly newsletter, tracking website traffic and user engagement, and generating new content ideas. Ultimately, you will produce engaging quality content that speaks to our audience, drives traffic, nurtures prospects, and boosts engagement with our brand.

Main Responsibilities

  • Identify gaps in our content and recommend new topics and types of collateral (via content audits, comparative audits, editorial guidelines)
  • Prioritize and map content across the product and service portfolio
  • Further develop and nurture our content strategy; contribute to the content development (including writing for blog articles, ebooks and social media posts, script and video development)
  • Webinars: Suggest topics based on business objectives, and keyword research. Work with relevant teams and suppliers to develop content and help organize/host webinars.
  • Optimize our marketing automation and lead nurturing processes through email, content, and social channels.
  • Monitor web traffic and engagement (e.g. conversions and bounce rates)
  • Coordinate with product marketing and design teams to illustrate articles and resources
  • Work with ecommerce team to optimize item descriptions and content
  • Help create supporting materials for tradeshows (national and regional); including presentations and pre- and post-show promotions.
  • Follow industry-related news and generate ideas around trending topics; Interview industry professionals and employees and use online sources to research topics
  • Set guidelines for the tone, style and voice of all brand content
  • Champion content marketing strategy across the company
  • Review and update published content as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements

  • BA/BSc in Marketing, Journalism or relevant field and/or at least 2 years\' work experience as a Content Specialist, Content Manager or similar
  • Solid copywriting skills and a portfolio of published articles
  • Excellent communicator and creative thinker, with keen attention to details and an ability to use data to inform all decisions
  • Proficiency in marketing automation and blogging software to generate traffic
  • Knowledge of Content Management Systems, like WordPress, HTML and web publishing
  • Familiarity with SEO guidelines and keyword research tools
  • Strong understanding of key social media platforms including LinkedIn and Facebook and experience developing and scheduling content across these platforms
  • Excellent written communication and editing skills in English. French is a plus
  • Project and time management skills
  • Bonus Skills: HTML/CSS, Adobe Creative Suite, Pardot Marketing Automation, and experience in the safety industry
