The Role This position is responsible for supporting various marketing and communications programs, campaigns and initiatives within the Marketing and Communications team. Specifically, this role is responsible for supporting the day-to-day marketing activities of B2C campaigns, including analytics and reporting activities. The Marketing and Communications Program Lead is expected to have a solid understanding of email marketing best practices and is responsible for creating, executing, and managing consumer focused email marketing initiatives and campaigns. This position supports multiple brands (14). Marketing Campaigns
  • Support the implementation of marketing strategy through planning and implementation of marketing campaigns and projects
  • Assist in the development and management of campaigns promoting insurance and ancillary products
  • Collaborate with internal and external resources to create and manage content execution
  • Liaise with vendors and internal teams to support multiple campaigns
  • Planning and delivery of analytics for campaigns
  • Summarize key results and analytics for campaigns and projects for projects under supervision
  • Assist in the identification of marketing opportunities
Internal and External Communications
  • Content creation for communication requests, company-wide, management of communication inbox
  • Assist in the execution of Marketing annual objectives
  • Ensure communications are clear, consistent, appropriately branded, and follow brand standards
Email Marketing
  • Manage the execution of emails on a day-to-day basis
  • Establish email marketing strategies using industry best practices and ensure timely execution of email marketing initiatives (B2C)
  • Set cadence of delivery times, manage email deployment calendar and communication for email campaigns
  • Work with the in-house creative team and content writer to co-ordinate production of email design, subject lines and copy
  • Create and maintain internal process documents
  • List management and report creation in Marketing Cloud
General Support
  • Backup of general administrative support
Marketing Processes and Standards
  • Comply with marketing standards and follow set processes for routine work
  • Assist with the development of marketing processes
  • Contribute ideas for improving marketing standards and processes
  • Ensure brand consistency across all campaigns and messages
What You Bring To The Team
  • A minimum of 3-5 years experience in a marketing or communications role
  • Solid understanding of marketing campaign management
  • Knowledge of mortgage industry and mortgage brokering in Canada would be an asset
  • Experience in financial services, insurance, investments or related field
  • Experience with email marketing and digital communication
  • Experience with email deployment platforms such as Marketing Cloud, Pardot, Constant Contact and Mailchimp
  • Proficient data management and excel skills
  • Understands email regulations and privacy rules with a solid understanding of Canada\xe2\x80\x99s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL)
  • Effective planning and project management skills
  • A proactive and ambitious marketer who enjoys developing new solutions to challenging problems
  • Experience using Marketing Cloud
  • Strong internet, Excel, email and electronic document management skills
  • Understanding of Canada\xe2\x80\x99s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL)
  • Excited about data and finding useful nuggets of information to make smart marketing decisions
  • Experience running and optimizing large scale marketing campaigns
  • Knowledge of professional communications and marketing principles
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality on all sensitive matters
  • Enthusiastic, creative, and experienced in working effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Strong attention to detail
