What you\'ll be doing

As a member of CIBC\xe2\x80\x99s Capital Markets, Wealth, GOW Operations team, the Consultant, Business Systems Analysis is responsible for providing technical expertise for service delivery and operations for the project management office tools and systems. The role works on complex issues involving one or more technical areas, mentoring employees and performing tasks of advanced technical depth and breadth. The Consultant, Business Systems Analysis exercises independent judgement to continuously improve the existing program and project management discipline, providing consulting to IT and Business Management on applying technology to business opportunities, planning and implementation. The role devises new methods and procedures using strong analytic and inductive thinking, facilitating the application of new technologies to support existing processes.

How you\'ll succeed

  • Understanding and documenting requirements - Work closely with business partners to gather complicated business requirements and facilitate solution design discussions to ensure you meet project needs. Create strong relationships, lead discussions, listen and ask the right questions to ensure solutions meet requirements.
  • Solution design - Assemble client-focused solutions that meet business requirements. Prepare and validate solution design documents around areas such as scope clarification, solution requirements, and quality assurance.
  • Leading and mentoring \xe2\x80\x93 Support end-to-end project implementation as a subject matter expert, and provide guidance to a diverse team of technology and project professionals. Maintain a collaborative work environment and support team members to resolve organizational, operational, and process problems.
Who you are
  • You have 4+ years of Business Systems Analyst experience (i.e., writing user stories, creating and updating systems Use Cases, etc.).
  • It\xe2\x80\x99s an asset if you have experience with Agile methodologies and Application and/or Architecture Development.

  • You have a degree/diploma in Computer Science, Business, and/or a related field, and you\xe2\x80\x99ve spent at least 3 years in a BSC role leading projects and designing solutions. It\xe2\x80\x99s an asset if you have experience with Agile methodologies, and Application and/or Architecture Development.
