Overview

Cedar Ridge Homes is looking for a Construction Site Assistant. This position is physically demanding, and requires working on building sites, including but not limited to loading/unloading materials, site prep, equipment/vehicle maintenance, equipment operation, and organizing & maintaining materials.

Duties

Material handling - load, unload, move and store construction materials Site preparation - clear debris, set up barricades, clean and prepare sites for cabinet layout and drywall. Assisting Construction Managers as required Tool Operation - use hand and power tools like saws, drills, and sometimes operate heavy equipment like skid steers, mini excavators etc. Enforcement of safety program Install temporary stairs and hand rails Maintain site cleanliness, secure/store tools, follow safety rules and report hazards.

Qualifications

Physical Ability - stamina, strength to lift heavy object (up to 100lbs), and ability to work outdoors in various conditions. Ability to follow instructions, clear communication, attention to detail, and time management MUST have a clean drivers abstract, a valid class 5 drivers license, a good attitude and work well with others. Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Team-oriented with an additional value on the importance of company culture.

Work Environment:

Work occurs on single family and multi-family construction sites Involves physical exertion, exposure to elements including but not limited to heights, and confined spaces. Working with tight deadlines - work effectively and efficiently Proactive and self-motivated
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 - 40 per week
