Overview


We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Construction Manager to oversee and coordinate construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent project management abilities, and a solid understanding of construction processes. This role offers an opportunity to lead diverse teams, ensure project safety and quality, and contribute to the successful delivery of complex construction initiatives. Experience in classroom settings or teaching is considered a valuable asset for training and team development purposes.

Responsibilities



Plan, coordinate, and supervise all phases of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget Lead and manage construction teams, subcontractors, and vendors to maintain high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency Develop detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans Monitor progress regularly and adjust plans as necessary to meet project milestones Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, building codes, and legal requirements Communicate effectively with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to provide updates and resolve issues promptly Conduct site inspections to ensure work quality and safety standards are upheld Manage procurement of materials and equipment needed for construction activities Facilitate training sessions or workshops for team members when necessary, leveraging classroom experience or teaching skills to enhance team performance

Requirements



Proven experience in construction management or related roles with a strong track record of successful project delivery Excellent leadership and team management skills Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure Knowledge of construction methods, safety protocols, building codes, and legal regulations Effective communication skills for liaising with diverse stakeholders Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately Experience in classroom settings or teaching is a plus for training purposes Relevant certifications such as OSHA safety certification or PMP are preferred but not mandatory Must be detail-oriented with problem-solving capabilities

Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
