Basic Function: As an experienced professional, you are passionate about community impact, public relations, and communicating in ways that drive engagement and inspire action. Telling engaging stories that appeal to the heart and mind is one of your key skills.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Credit Union\xe2\x80\x99s community impact and engagement activities and programs to promote awareness and ensure the growth and expansion of the Credit Union brand.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate Credit Union\xe2\x80\x99s community impact plan ensuring internal and external stakeholder engagement and alignment with the Credit Union\xe2\x80\x99s strategic goals and objectives.
  • Proactively engage with members and community stakeholders to conduct research and analysis on issues related to environmental, social, and governance; develop action plans to align community impact plan with community and stakeholder priorities.
  • Develop and coordinate materials and communications, and create the annual sustainability report, and storytelling to ensure maximum visibility.
  • In collaboration with a variety of stakeholders, plan, develop, manage, and implement community impact related projects and/or programs including but not limited to planning, writing, editing, and/or coordinating internal and external communication pieces; coordinating the communications component for sponsorships, grant programs, and all other community impact activities and managing and updating the Community section of the website.
  • Seek out opportunities, organize and lead activities that assist the Credit Union in demonstrating our commitment to social purpose.
  • Participate in the development of Key Performance Indicators aligned to the framework and provide ongoing monitoring and reporting of community impact activities.
  • Provide recommendations on and manage various tools to track community impact and stakeholder engagement initiatives. Train staff on the use of tools and provide ongoing support.
  • Collaborate with the branches and departments to support community impact initiatives, including but not limited to assisting with corresponding budget development and monitoring.

Educational Requirements
  • Completed an Undergraduate Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Business, Social Sciences or related field.

Educational Requirements
  • Five years of relevant experience, preferably in a financial institution; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Demonstrated interest and passion in corporate responsibility and social impact.
  • Proven ability to navigate an environment with multiple and shifting priorities with ease.
  • Strong networking and interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly develop and maintain relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, multi-task and prioritize.
  • Basic data analytics capabilities.
  • Ability to travel to various locations within Manitoba.
