The Position:
Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications, the Communications Manager requires a seasoned communications professional with a strong digital copywriting/writing background. The primary purpose of the role is to provide communications support for St. Michaels University School (SMUS) and meet the needs of internal and external community members and stakeholders.
The Communications Manager will help oversee and create clear and concise communications for SMUS?s digital and print content marketing strategy while working as part of a strategic Marketing and Communications team. This role will also implement effective and creative communications programs and bring SMUS?s Vision and Mission to life.
In support of a wide variety of departments and SMUS initiatives, this roles? duties will include writing, editing, proofreading, writing ad copy, writing print and digital marketing content, writing and editing blogs/stories, photography, and working with various departments to ensure all communications are aligned with strategic priorities and goals. This role will also include managing freelance writers, and project management, including oversight of highly collaborative team members, for 12 core Marketing and Communications projects.
To support occasional departmental requirements for events and meetings outside of normal business hours, flexibility regarding hours of work will be required.
