PURPOSE OF POSITION:
This position will work within the Corporate Communications team, as well as with the adjacent Sales & Marketing team, to support communication and positive relationships internally and externally. This position assists with writing, designing, and editing content - both written and visual - to engage staff, brokers, and the public across multiple channels, including Red River Mutual's social media platforms, company websites, and promotional materials. The goal is to positively represent and reinforce our brand, values, purpose, and vision.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS:
Regularly assist the Corporate Communication and Sales & Marketing teams in the writing, layout and editing of written and visual communications.
Provide design support for company documents and presentations that are utilized both internally and externally, ensuring consistency with company branding and tone. Knowledge of layout design, typography, and visual storytelling is beneficial to enhance messaging and make information accessible and engaging.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine communications content.
Maintain and enhance Red River Mutual's online platforms, including any public-facing, staff-facing and broker-facing websites.
Develop content for any planned social media campaigns, engaging with the necessary stakeholders to ensure the promotion of Red River Mutual's brand, products and services, and corporate giving initiatives hits the right tone and is appropriately timed.
Support the monitoring/reporting of digital analytics when necessary.
Support the planning and execution of company events when necessary.
QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS:
Post-secondary education in marketing, communications, or Creative Communications.
Valid class 5 driver's license with ability to travel between offices and events as required.
Minimum one year of relevant experience. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
Advanced computer and office tool skills; knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Word required.
Outstanding written, and oral communication skills.
Excellent time management and task prioritization ability
Able to work both independently and as a team
Strong analysis and critical thinking skills
High attention to detail
