Working with the Marketing and Communications Manager, the Digital Communications Coordinator is responsible for developing TIES brand through digital communications-related activities that support the promotion of TIES activities, programs, and services, thereby enhancing a consistent image while advancing the mission and vision of the organization. This is to be done through building communications design assets for digital and print. Supporting the execution of TIES social media and digital marketing initiatives, along with some video production. The Digital Communications Coordinator will be evaluated on their ability to create awareness through quality designed materials that enhance TIES brand in the community. Key ResponsibilitiesBrand Design and Program Development
Develop and maintain TIES Brand Standards
\xc2\xb7 \xc2\xb7 Work with Communications Team Lead, to ensure all areas of TIES Brand is developed
\xc2\xb7 \xc2\xb7 Ensure Brand Standards are concise, clear and able to be understood by staff
Develop TIES Brand Standards for secondary programs, such as:
\xc2\xb7 \xc2\xb7 Literacy Centre of Expertise
\xc2\xb7 \xc2\xb7 Healthy Minds
\xc2\xb7 \xc2\xb7 Money Smart
\xc2\xb7 \xc2\xb7 Centre for Immigrant Research
Develop and design internal and external materials for programs
\xc2\xb7 \xc2\xb7 Support in video production (for educational and outreach purposes)
Ensure communication materials reflect strong linkage to TIES vision/mission and follow Brand Standards
Assist Communications Team Lead with the branding and presentations of TIES programs
Internal Communications
Monitor stock of marketing materials, including brochures, promotional items, business cards and name tags for staff, and order more when necessary
Support the Communications Team Lead in the development and design of TIES Annual Report
Support Communications Team Lead in the development of images/graphics for TIES Monthly Newsletter
Social Media
Develop social media templates and graphics, based on program needs to build consistency across social channels
Assist Communication Team Lead with the branding and presentations of TIES programs through social media
Develop paid advertising assets through digital graphic design and development based on program needs and TIES brand
Web Development
When required, assist in the development of graphics/images to be utilized on the website
Provide back-end support to the Communications Team Lead in regards to the upkeep of the TIES website, monitoring online program registrations, regular page updates, and troubleshooting errors.
Events
Support the planning and logistics of TIES events such as workshops, fundraisers, conferences, and festivals.
Travel between locations for presentations and outreach, when required.

Education and Experience The successful candidate will have a University Degree or equivalent, with a concentration in Information Design, Digital Communications, Digital Design or a related field. Must have at least 2+ years digital communications related work experience. Relevant experience should include a design experience with strong ability to create consistent brand standards for an organization. Communication experience that includes writing, editing, design, and production skills considered an asset. Desktop publishing, social media, and website management, and video production experience preferred. Familiarity with media and video design is required.
