About Us



The Langley Division of Family Practice (LDFP) is a non-profit society supporting family physicians, medical residents, and nurse practitioners across the City and Township of Langley. We work collaboratively to improve access to primary care, amplify the voice of local physicians in shaping healthcare delivery and policy, and provide professional support to our members.

Position Summary



We are seeking a dynamic Communications Coordinator to lead our strategic communications and marketing efforts. Reporting to the Executive Director, this role is ideal for a creative, organized, and strategic thinker who thrives in a collaborative and mission-driven environment.

This part-time role (3 days/week) offers a flexible schedule (Friday availability required; other days flexible) and a mix of in-person and remote work. The ideal start date is negotiable.

Key Responsibilities



Strategic Communications



Develop and lead an annual communications strategy aligned with organizational priorities. Create and manage brand and writing standards for internal and external use. Collaborate with leadership to align communications with program and advocacy goals. Provide proactive updates and risk identification to Program Manager and Executive Director. Apply continuous improvement principles to all communications work.

Marketing & Promotions



Design and deliver marketing campaigns for initiatives, tools, and community events. Develop promotional and informational materials, including digital and print resources. Oversee and evaluate promotional activities to ensure maximum engagement and impact.

Content Creation & Management



Produce regular content for newsletters, social media, websites, reports, and more. Ensure consistent, timely delivery of all communications projects and campaigns. Align all messaging with organizational values, strategic goals, and quality standards.

Operational & Team Support



Collaborate across teams to support project deliverables and track communications metrics. Provide internal guidance on communication processes and standards. Support the creation of reports and materials for the Board, funders, and stakeholders. Foster a positive organizational culture and uphold data privacy and security policies.

Qualifications & Skills



Post-secondary education in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field. 2-3+ years' experience in a similar communications role. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated success in campaign strategy, brand management, and content development. Strong project management and organizational abilities. Proficiency with digital platforms (e.g., email marketing, social media, CMS). Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams) and Zoom. Ability to build relationships, manage competing priorities, and adapt in a fast-paced setting. High degree of discretion, confidentiality, and alignment with privacy policies.
