Assists in planning and managing the Department of Political Science\'s obligations as host department for the Annual Meeting of the Canadian Political Science Association (CPSA), June 12-14 2024.
The Communication Assistant will work closely with Professor Debra Thompson, the Local Arrangement Coordinator for the Conference, and with Professors Daniel B\xc3\xa9land and Amy Janzwood. There will be interaction with CPSA leadership and professional staff.

Position Summary:
The work will be organizational in nature, involving both event planning for the CPSA Presidential Dinner and the Department Reception during the Conference, as well as working with the CPSA and McGill to manage room reservations, AV requirements, and other logistics for the Conference itself.
Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities
Requires a high level of organizational skill, excellent and responsible time management, and the ability to work well either autonomously or under detailed direction as the task demands.
Being fluent in both English and French is an advantage but not a requirement.
Minimum Education and Experience: High School Diploma 2 Years Related Experience
Hourly Salary: (AMUSE C) $35.00
