Liteline is hiring a Communications and Events Manager to develop, grow and lead a team that defines the company messaging, runs Events and Tradeshows, and ultimately supports driving sales growth across North America. The marketing team is integral to the development and execution of our go-to-market strategy including the design, advertising, internal and external communications, and events (tradeshows, sales conferences, etc.).The Communications and Events Manager is responsible for growing and managing a team to successfully execute client-facing events from in-office meetings and training to external tradeshows and conferences, as well as maintaining a consistent message from brochures, blogs, and press releases, and more.We are looking for someone who not only can organize and manage multiple events from start to finish at a time but also has lighting knowledge and strong written skills to elevate our three brands in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment. While building out their team as demand grows.*Please provide a writing sample with your application*Reporting to the Product Marketing Manager, the Communications and Events Manager will be mainly responsible for: Communications:

  • Writing/reviewing content for all products including brochure copy, website descriptions, etc.
  • Oversee the Liteline blog: press releases, case studies, white papers, etc.
  • Managing social media strategy and influencer campaigns
  • Creating advertising messaging for print and digital displays
  • Email Communications: Agent updates, industry announcements, corporate communications, email automation
Events:
  • Event Management and Coordination
  • Registration, bookings, sponsorship, shipping coordination, etc.
  • Event communications: invitations, follow-ups, lead assignments post-event
  • Plan and arrange for accommodation and transportation services
  • Internal setup, food coordination, and clean up
  • Budget management
  • Designing booths and management for tradeshows that showcase products in a creative way for the intended audience
  • Site visits
  • Confirm and coordinate speakers
  • Managing swag inventory and ordering
In our ideal candidate, we are looking for:
  • University or College degree in Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, or related field.
  • 5-7 years of marketing experience
  • Outstanding written communication with an understanding of lighting
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate between multiple teams to complete tasks
  • Problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to think "outside the box" to go above and beyond
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Familiar with CRM software, specifically Microsoft Dynamics
  • Exposure to contract negotiation with vendors
  • Access to a vehicle is a benefit as some events are off-site
  • Lighting knowledge and Interior design is an asset
  • A basic understanding of CAD or SketchUp and layout design is an asset
  • Bilingual (English and French) is a bonus
