The Opportunity: The BBBS Ontario Collaborative is seeking a skilled and passionate individual to join as a Collaborative Coordinator to help coordinate, centralize and elevate the work and the priorities of the Collaborative. The successful candidate will report to the Collaborative via the Leadership Committee, a group made up of local agency Executive Directors. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, highly-organized and brings an understanding of a federated structure and collaborative work. Key Responsibilities/Duties
Provide administrative and scheduling support to the Ontario Collaborative, its affiliate sub-committees, and other ad-hoc working groups as required. This support can include such tasks as, preparing agendas, minute taking, tracking action items, following up on upcoming delivery timelines and securing presentations from external partners.
Administer social media channels (Facebook, Instagram) and create engaging content on behalf of the BBBS Ontario Collaborative, ensuring that key messages are aligned to the values and mission of BBBS.
Deliver Collaborative orientation package and training to new Executive Directors
Liaise with external partners who provide support or service to the Collaborative.
Ensure the collective resources of the Collaborative are communicated and updated in a timely fashion via MS Teams.
Provide background information on funding opportunities and leads with prospective donors/funders whose giving priorities align to the youth sector with a focus on collaboration.
Administer evaluative measures (e.g. surveys, data collection), and collate responses from the Collaborative for the purposes of reporting to the group and to funders.
Review locally-created material, assess its value and prepare it for Collaborative use.
Create branded templates to be used for the development of provincial assets.
Support the fiscal accounting for funds allocated to the Collaborative.
Listen actively to, and reflect on, bi-weekly Collaborative meetings and put feedback into action.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Leadership Committee
Experience/Qualifications/Skills:
Post-secondary education with job-related experience in administration/project management is preferred
Strong time-management skills and ability to meet deadlines under pressure
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Experience drafting content and framework on topics relevant for the social service through the lens of collaboration
Experience managing a project workplan and executing on tight timelines
Strong computer skills in a PC environment with in-depth understanding of Microsoft Office suite of products, especially MS Teams
An understanding of the non-profit/charitable sector, with a focus on children and youth, is an asset
