Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced cafe environment. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for our customers.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences. Operate the Aloha POS or Micros POS systems for order processing and payment transactions. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Maintain cleanliness of the cafe area, including tables, counters, and equipment, adhering to food safety standards. Assist in food preparation and handling as needed, ensuring all items meet quality standards. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality. Handle cash transactions with accuracy while maintaining proper cash handling procedures. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and enhance the overall customer experience.

Requirements

Previous barista experience or strong coffee knowledge is preferred. Interest in Sports & Recreation is an asset Knowledge of Vitamins & Supplements is a bonus skill Ability to prepare smoothies a great skill set Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong sales skills to promote menu items effectively. Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations. Knowledge of food safety practices and food preparation techniques is essential. Ability to provide outstanding customer service in a friendly manner. Pay: $17.20-$24.21 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 20 per week
