Position Summary



Creating CNC programming and scheduling of CNC Machines for new and existing product lines, maintains the engineering product manuals. Experience with AMADA AP100US Software required.

Duties & Responsibilities



The CNC Programmer will be responsible for the programming of computer numerical control (CNC) machines used for manufacturing. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following.

Responsible for programming the Amada Turret punch machines; Responsible for scheduling the Amada Turret punch machines to optimize machine run-time; Responsible for ensuring all programs match current design revisions and communicate with Engineering Manager any conflicts regarding drawings; Responsible for open communication with shop personnel on active revisions; Responsible for ensuring tool set up by work center matches Engineering Standard. Suggest revisions/improvements to Engineering Standard to optimize machine run-time. Ensure all program are in sync with engineering drawings, take necessary steps to make any amendments required on the drawings and programs. Suggest any new tool requirement/replenishment and maintain tool inventory list. Collaborate with multiple production supervisor to communicate optimize schedules and update schedule on production feedback. Coordinate production workflow for multiple production lines. Analyze data, review outputs, capabilities and capacities to develop multiple week's production schedule for two manufacturing units. Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay. Provide weekly schedule and work orders to production in timely manner. Release, modify and reschedule work orders as per requirement. Monitor and generate documents for intra company material transfer to ensure smooth production. Determine manpower, equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demand. Prepare and submit work centers KPI reports. Keep production schedule up to date and paper work organized. Work with other departments to solve issues related to material requirements and inventory, Proactive approach to solving fulfillment challenges (schedule discrepancies, analyzing capacity and load balancing) Any other tasks assigned by the Production Control Manager.

Qualifications:



Bachelor's Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Programming or related area; Minimum 5+ years of programming experience in a Sheet Metal or Manufacturing environment. Experience using AutoCAD/Inventor considered an asset. Fully capable of programming with Software AP100US for Amada and Router; Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook and Excel; Excellent written and oral communication skills; Attention to detail and accuracy is required; Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload; Strong blueprint reading, precision measuring, and communication skills Good verbal and written communication skills required Assist with training any new or junior programmers; and Work independently and as part of a team.

Pay: From $29.90 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
