Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to produce precision parts and components. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, programming, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints. The CNC Machinist will play a crucial role in ensuring that products meet quality standards and specifications.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC lathes and milling machines to produce high-quality parts. Program CNC machines using appropriate software, including CAM programming. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and bore gauges to ensure accuracy. Conduct routine maintenance on CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with engineering teams to improve manufacturing processes and product designs. Implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste. Perform assembly tasks as needed, utilizing hand tools and power tools. Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards.

Skills

Proficient in CNC programming and operation of CNC milling machines and lathes. Strong knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles. Experience with electrical discharge machining is a plus. Familiarity with SolidWorks, CAD software, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). Solid mechanical knowledge with experience in manufacturing processes. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining tasks. Ability to work with various tooling, including tooling for plastics injection molding. Experience operating forklifts is advantageous. Knowledge of welding techniques is beneficial but not required.
