About the Opportunity

Nova Scotia Health (NSH) provides sustainable, safe and high-quality health services that are accessible, people-centered, promote health and wellness and optimize the health of all Nova Scotians. The QEII New Generation Project is an initiative to realign care and services from the aging Victoria and Centennial buildings on the Victoria General Site of the QEII Health Sciences Centre. The initiative is the largest healthcare infrastructure project to take place in Nova Scotia. As part of this work, the QEII Health Sciences Centre\'s tertiary, quaternary care and research and academic mandates are addressed in the planning, design and construction phases.

Reporting to the Director Clinical Planning, the Clinical Project Analyst will provide support for the QEII New Generation project team coordinating clinical and redevelopment stakeholders to gather project requirements. Working collaboratively with the Managers and Directors of Planning, the incumbent will support the planning and coordination of procurement activities and formal sourcing requests including RFx (RFPs, RFQs, etc.) for clinical equipment. In addition, the Clinical Project Analyst will provide project support, development and maintenance of project documentation. In addition, the Analyst will be responsible for coordinating and implementing operational readiness and change management strategies as well as developing and maintaining strong working relationships with health care leaders, clinicians, partner agencies, and government.

This role will have responsibilities including, but not limited to:

  • Direct support to the Directors and Managers of Planning for the QEII New Generation Project;
  • Support identified NSH planning teams and serve as the central point of contact/coordination for designated groups;
  • Participate as a member of project teams for various project components and responsible to obtain the appropriate NSH subject matter experts and leadership approvals as various stages of a given project lifecycle;
  • Ensuring that project documentation is completed from initiation to close out. This includes (but is not limited to) functional planning, project charters, meeting minutes, contracts, change orders, contemplated change orders, change directives, substantial completion documents, inspections, Gantt charts, project plans, risk documentation, specifications and requirements, tracking documentation, and RFx documentation;
  • Ensuring that all applicable CSA standards, and legislated requirements, are adhered to;
  • Engaging subject matter experts (infection control, occupational health and safety, biomedical engineering, clinical teams, etc.) and liaise with them throughout the project duration;
  • Facilitate the reviewing process for project submittals including schedules, drawings and specifications, as required;
  • Provide regular information to be used in implementation and monitoring of project KPIs;
  • Reviewing and preparing responses to requests for information (RFI)
  • Monitoring consultants and contractor engagement to ensure projects adhere to NSH quality standards, budgets, and deadlines;
  • At times, provide an on-site presence to those projects assigned to ensure all accountabilities are being met in the interest of NSH.
About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
  • Baccalaureate degree in engineering, business, or a health discipline/health related science
  • Current registration with professional association if applicable
  • Two years of recent related experience working on complex healthcare projects
  • Experience with clinical equipment procurement (specification development, RFx, commissioning, logistics, etc.) preferred
  • Knowledge of Lean Principles
  • Knowledge of the LEADS Framework
  • Project Management Professional certification

Hours
  • Long-Assignment / Full-Time Position (100%) / 75 Hours Bi-weekly
  • Start date as soon as possible, with an anticipated end date of June, 2028
Compensation and Incentives

$34.07 - $42.59 Hourly
