We are looking for a motivated Client Service Worker to join our Vancouver Northeast WorkBC team!
POSITION FUNCTION
: The WorkBC Client Service Worker provides support all staff and clients through effective, timely delivery of client services, administrative, and clerical assistance. This position reports to the Coordinator of Operations.

UTIES:
  • Be familiar with MOSAIC\xe2\x80\x99S vision, mission, values, strategic plan, and integrated client service delivery approach, program and/or project proposals and contracts, and your role in achieving the goals and contractual outcomes of the department.
  • Contact Clients to inquire if job sustainment services are required to help them maintain employment. This includes conducting milestone follow-up and documentation.
  • Perform administrative tasks: answer inquiries about the programs/projects; file documents; produce documents and spreadsheets; order office/program supplies and maintain inventory; code invoices, enter/record financial data and other data.
  • Provide reception and Resource Centre relief including Client registration. Be able to converse in French, when required.
  • Co-ordinate the flow of information internally and externally.
  • Provide administrative support for meetings and events: distribute information/agendas; schedule and set-up rooms; arrange food and clean-up; record and distribute minutes.
  • Prepare and/or assist with correspondence, invoices, presentations, publications, marketing, reports, and surveys.
  • Research and compile information and data.
  • Maintain bulletin boards, calendars, and staff schedules.
  • Participate in meetings, in-service trainings, and other training.
  • Other duties, as assigned by the Coordinator, Manager, or Senior Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Office management principles, methods, and procedures; sorting/filing techniques, records retention policies and schedules; proper spelling, grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure. Confident use of MS Office suite & publishing software. Keyboarding speed of 30-45 wpm an asset.
  • Completion of secondary school and completion of a one- or two-year college or other program for administrative assistants, and/or comparable experience. Work with an immigrant population and/or diverse cultural backgrounds an asset, and/or comparable education.
  • English communication skills, French is mandatory, other languages an asset.
  • Tactful, discrete, diplomatic, patient, flexible customer service skills with cultural sensitivity.
  • Organized and able to meet deadlines, able to work independently and with a tea, able to work under pressure with strong troubleshooting skills.

HOURS: Full-time (35 hours per week).
Candidate must be able to commute to Vancouver Northeast WorkBC at 2555 Commercial Drive, Vancouver, V5N 4C2.
BENEFITS:
A competitive benefits package is provided with contracts of at least 1 year in length and which offer a minimum of 17.5 hours of work per week.
