THE COMPANY



Meckelborg Financial Group (MFG) is a Portfolio Management firm located in Saskatoon, SK. We're working to bridge the gap between Canadian investors and wealth management solutions typically reserved for the institutional investor. Our goal is to provide a one stop shop for clients by providing financial services such as; financial planning, investment management, and insurance. MFG is continuously growing and looking to add a team member that is wanting to grow with us.

THE JOB



As a Client Relations Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for MFG's clients. Working closely with Portfolio Managers and Associate Portfolio Managers, you will be crucial in ensuring client needs and expectations are continuously being met.

Beyond your core responsibilities, you'll work closely with MFG's Portfolio Management team, gaining exposure to fund operations, research, and investment strategy. This role is designed as a potential stepping stone toward future opportunities in various Portfolio Management roles.

What You'll Do



Client Servicing



Own the day-to-day client administration process--communications, account openings, transfers, documentation, and compliance support Liaise with custodians and platform partners to resolve service issues efficiently and professionally Prepare materials and data packages for internal and external meetings, ensuring all follow-ups are completed accurately and on time Maintain up-to-date CRM records, assist with KYC refreshes, and support internal documentation systems Act as the go-to team resource for tracking deadlines, managing requests, and keeping the team organized Sit in on client and internal meetings to develop a strong understanding of MFG's platform, enabling growth in client servicing capabilities

Investment Support



Assist in gathering data for market research, fund commentary, and internal reports Help coordinate investment committee materials, research projects, and ad hoc requests Support fund due diligence efforts and contribute to documentation for internal use and client-facing tools Compile and update performance reports, asset flows, and key investment materials Over time, develop deeper analytical responsibilities based on skill, interest, and team needs Attend investment-focused meetings to gain insights into strategy, research processes, and platform capabilities, building skills to better support the investment team

What We're Looking For



Strong organizational skills and a proactive mindset--able to manage competing deadlines with confidence Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Comfortable working with Excel, CRM systems, and other business software A team player who is curious about investments, wanting to learn, and happy to roll up their sleeves Previous experience in financial services, investment operations, or client service is an asset
