The Veterinary Client Care Representative (CCR) is the first point of contact for clients and plays a key role in delivering an exceptional customer experience. This role involves managing client communications, scheduling appointments, and supporting the veterinary team by ensuring smooth day-to-day front office operations.
Responsibilities:
Greeting and welcoming patients with sincerity.
Answering telephone calls and returning e-mails.
Scheduling appointments using our designated software.
Issuing invoices for treatment and prescribed medication after each consultation.
Receiving and verifying payments after each consultation.
Monitoring the inventory of items for sale by the practice and restocking these, as needed.
Overseeing the sale of items stocked by the practice.
Liaising with courier services and laboratories to ensure that samples are delivered and collected on time.
Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous administrative experience, preferably within a healthcare setting.
Familiarity with veterinary medical billing software is advantageous.
Intermediate computer proficiency.
Basic arithmetic skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
Personable, empathic disposition.
Capacity to work well during distressing situations.
Ability to work shifts, on weekends, and on public holidays, as required.
- Veterinary Assistant
Position Summary:
The Veterinary Assistant plays an important role in supporting veterinarians and registered veterinary technologists (RVTs) in providing quality care to patients. This position involves assisting with animal handling, preparing for medical procedures, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and ensuring excellent care for both pets and their owners.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist veterinarians and RVTs during examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures.
Safely handle and restrain animals for examinations, treatments, and procedures.
Clean, disinfect, and maintain exam rooms, treatment areas, kennels, and equipment.
Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures, reporting any changes to the veterinary team.
Assist with laboratory tests (collecting samples, running in-house diagnostics, preparing samples for external labs).
Provide routine animal care such as feeding, walking, and grooming when required.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure charts are updated.
Restock medical supplies and ensure equipment is ready for use.
Communicate with clients in a compassionate and professional manner.
Qualifications & Skills:
Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care setting preferred.
Ability to safely handle animals of varying sizes and temperaments.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow medical instructions.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Compassion, patience, and empathy for animals and their owners.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as required.
