Reporting to the Manager, Content and Collaboration Services (CCS), the Content Transfer Service Analyst's primary role will be responsible for performing content transfers, that is moving unstructured content between various ECM system (Primarily SharePoint, but may include OpenText content server, Documentum, etc.), and shared drives locations. Specifically targeting outstanding Government Restructuring backlogs, and critical litigation request.
During this process, the analyst will be working on multiple transfers simultaneously, meaning strong organizational skill will be required to manage the conflicting timelines, conflicting resources, and coordinating with multiple business area.
Further the analyst will need to review and understand departmental and corporate policies, business rules, data requirements and supporting system processes and ensure these are followed during content transfers.
This resource will have working knowledge and experience of IT infrastructure environments including general concepts of workstation/server hardware, and a general understanding of line-of-business applications and architectures. The resource must have a sound understanding of IT Change and Communication Management. A proven ability to function on an individual basis and in a team environment is essential. Resources awareness of existing GoA and department IT policies, procedures, standards, guidelines and practices is an asset.
Duties:
Work collaboratively in a team environment to deliver services.
Work with delivery teams and stakeholders, including business partners and GoA technical staff to understand detailed requirements of transfers, which could include: planning of timing; process confirmation; communication and coordination of script executions; etc.
Participates in creating and prioritizing a backlog of work, estimates effort, and commits to scope of work for predictable completion of content transfers.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and training materials to support all aspects of the content transfer service.
Guide business partners on technical aspects of ECM solutions and shared drives relating to requested transfers.
Create and generating scripting, workflows, documents, logging, etc. to support content transfers.
Migration of content which may include: Mapping, Transformation, Loading, and Testing of scripting or supporting application runs
Copying files in secured way and confirming file integrity
Other responsibilities as required or requested.
Mandatory Technology Expertise:
Detailed familiar with windows command line, command line scripting, batch scripting, and general windows operating system concepts (especially around file operation, permissions, etc.)
Familiarity with SharePoint 2016, and SharePoint Online that could include concepts such as:
o SharePoint List, doc sets, etc.
o SharePoint security structures
o SharePoint Content Types, Metadata, etc.
Experience with the following would be an asset:
Robocopy (windows command)
OpenText Content Server (general system understanding and use)
PowerShell scripting
Sharegate (experience using the tool directly)
Experience migrating records between versions of SharePoint
