Summary



We are seeking a caring and attentive Church Administrator with a spiritual commitment to exemplify and live out a commitment to God, His church, and the mission and vision of St. Peter's Church. Through your effective administration, communication, and coordination talents, you will play a vital role in the life and operation of our church in Cochrane, serving as the first point of contact for day-to-day operations. Your excellent people and organizational skills will benefit our team as you support worship and ministry activities, the ministry staff, council, and the congregation. Responsibilities



Serve as the initial point of contact for the church - responding to phone calls, emails, mail, and walk-in visitors. Route inquiries and correspondence to appropriate ministry teams or personnel. Maintain and manage the master calendar of church events and facility bookings. Coordinate space use with internal ministries and external groups. Provide administrative support to the Pastor, ministry teams, and lay leaders. Help with planning, logistics, and materials for worship services, events, and church programs. Assist in the preparation of the bulletin, service scripts, and related materials. Support the planning and executing of special services (Advent, Christmas, Lent, Easter). Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of church membership and key documents (e.g., meeting minutes, annual reports). Provide assistance with financial operations including invoice processing, contributions tracking, and budget support in collaboration with the Treasurer or Finance Team.

Qualifications



Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate discretion. Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a faith-based environment. Must complete a Vulnerable Sector Check Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and an ability to learn other PC based tools. Familiarity with church management software is an asset (Powerchurch). Prior administrative or church experience preferred.

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
