The United Church of Canada is seeking a Disability Benefits Administrator on a Full-time basis (35 hours per week). The Benefits Centre operates within Shared Services which ensures that the employment, compensation, policies are upheld and that federal/provincial employment standards are met. It oversees certain payroll services and is responsible for the governance and administration of the Pension and Benefits Plans of The United Church of Canada. Staff are committed to embody the standard of care obligations which come with managing multiple employers and employee monies, as all Benefits Centre roles must act in a fiduciary capacity in the administration of the pension plan and the benefits plans. They support the development of cross-functional teams, and collaboration and transformation opportunities to achieve the collective goals of the integrated Benefits Centre Team, ensuring high level of service to members.
The Disability Benefits Administrator provides leadership in the ongoing management of The United Church of Canada's disability programs, including short-term disability (Restorative Care Program "RCP"), long-term disability (LTD), WSIB claims, and return-to-work (RTW) programs. This role ensures compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies while liaising with employees, vendors, insurers, and healthcare providers to facilitate timely and effective case management.
