The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) role is accountable for the strategic direction, planning, design, implementation, and tier 3 support of SaskTel's broadband service provider network. This includes development and implementation of wireless, fibre,, IP, transport, telco cloud, and other emerging technologies, services and applications. You will be the driving force behind SaskTel's technical vision and for leading all aspects of SaskTel's technical development with focus on network development, transformation, automation, and emerging technologies. Reporting to the President & CEO, you will be a strategic member of the Executive team, responsible for overall management of SaskTel by providing input and direction to the tactical and strategic business plans.

The successful candidate will possess advanced educational credentials with a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline is required. An advanced degree is preferred. A minimum of 15 years of successful technology management experience working in a fast-paced and complex Engineering environment is required. A strong technical knowledge of broadband telecommunications technology is essential. This individual will also possess excellent management skills with superior interpersonal and communication skills along with a proven track record in building rapport and maintaining relationships with clients and senior executive within the global telecommunications industry. The ability to build and lead a strategically focused and diversely skilled team of professionals is a must. A broad business perspective and extensive knowledge of the ICT industry is required along with an excellent understanding of business practices and trends in the global competitive environment. Change management, professionalism, strategy, and an innovative mindset are all competencies this leader will possess.
