COO / Health Care

Reporting to the CEO, and as a member of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), the Chief Operating Officer (COO) oversees corporate and regional services, in alignment with organizational values, policies, and objectives.

The COO ensures adherence to legislative, regulatory, and contractual requirements, standards of multi-level care services, and quality of life domains.

The COO provides strategic leadership through the delivery of complex corporate and service-related activities and provides practical day-to-day leadership by coaching and building capacity within the organization.

This position develops strong working relationships with a variety of external stakeholders and is integral to shaping and articulating the organization’s vision, values, and organizational culture to deliver on its mission and mandate.

The successful candidate will have knowledge of strategic and operational planning in combination with program development, applied experience and community engagement.

The ideal candidate will have Masters’ degree in business, MBA, commerce, or finance. Professional accounting designation a real plus - CA, CGA, CMA with ten years of progressive leadership experience within the public sector health care industry an asset.

The role requires excellent interpersonal communication and team-building skills, with a commitment to building a positive and effective organizational culture.

An equivalent combination of experience, education and skills will also be considered.

Location:  Southern Alberta
Salary:  $180 to $220K
