As a member of our leadership team reporting directly to the Global Chief Digital Officer, we are looking for a strategy and execution-focused leader and coach. This person has experience at high-growth Luxury, Retail, and/or B2C companies and can own all areas of Information Systems & Technology strategy and delivery. A successful candidate will understand the culture and attitudes of a global luxury business and be able to help us grow and shape that inside the tech team.

What You\'ll Do:

Strategy

  • Develop, implement, and continuously enhance our global Technology strategy to support Canada Goose\'s growth ambitions and assure productivity improvement across all our business functions.
  • Drive development and ongoing refinement of a technology strategy that is linked to our strategy and business transformation goals.
  • Collaborate with business leaders across all functions, as well as with our Data, and Analytics, and Strategy teams, to define our \xe2\x80\x9cNorth Star\xe2\x80\x9d technology architecture and the roadmap toward it. Consistently keep all eyes on the technology team on enabling our aspiration to be a Global Performance Luxury leader.
Business support
  • Provide deep technology insights to our executive leadership team and influence strategic business decisions - with the ability to dive deep into technical details as required.
  • Ensure our technology roadmap and capabilities support our Digital & Omnichannel commerce ambition. Ensure platform stability and reliability to deliver optimal customer experiences while delivering the innovations that distinguish us as a leader
  • Deliver best-in-class Products that developers and customer love to use because they can be trusted and easily integrated into their process and tooling.
  • Build scaled, simplified, cloud-native Platforms that help us lower our costs as we grow.
  • Support differentiated regional strategies - and strike the right balance between global consistency and regional requirements, e.g., across the full tech stack in China and parts of the stack in Japan and Korea. Partner with global and regional commercial leaders to set clear plan that enhances global consistency, yet links to right solutions to win in key markets.
  • Deliver a great employee experience that allows our colleagues around the world to deliver their most productive work in our stores, in the office or at our facilities, at home, or on the move.
  • Partner multi-functionally to assess the short- and long-term needs of the organization and use resources efficiently to contribute to our business objectives. Use partners\' feedback to advise vital improvements and adjustments to technology and overall solutions.
  • Establish reliability, performance, and scalability goals and important metrics to help our business win around the world. Agree on shared metrics with key business functions to assure the focus is on business and not just technical success.
Operations & processes
  • Develop roadmaps and set timelines for evaluation, development, and deployment of all technical, front and back-end solutions, including web and mobile services
  • Drive the implementation of our Global IT Operating model to take advantage of our scale and standard processes across the world. Implement new ways of working to continue shifting our operating model from a project-centric legacy toward a faster, more agile product-and-platform-based approach to technology delivery
  • Manage existing core platforms, e.g., Dynamics365, and establish new platforms as needed to ensure scalability and consistency of operations and experiences.
  • Develop and implement a strong technology governance framework, underlying policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines to enhance our products and services in accordance with the best standards for a public company
  • Be responsible for technology architecture and strengthen the capability in Canada Goose - creating a clear target architecture to build together with other business leaders.
  • Lead security and operations/infrastructure to ensure compliance, functionality, resilience, and efficiency in the face of evolving needs, workloads, and threats in the context of a public company
  • Manage and implement integrations with 3rd-party technology platforms and services through flexible API-enabled interfaces
  • Supervise quality assurance processes, integration, and system tests - and orchestrate testing of business capabilities - not just the technical solution.
  • Lead the development and control of software development and deployment initiatives ensuring timeframes and budgets are met while managing risk.
  • Lead through organizational changes across technology and business organizations. Communicate plans effectively. Involve teams early. Be open and flexible to accommodate feedback and modify designs or timelines with visibility when tradeoffs are needed.
  • Identify new and emerging technologies and trends and bring ideas on how we can build on them to innovate. Watch the market and competition, including online pure players, and assure our technology strategies are built with driven differentiation in mind.

  • Champion a spirit of collaboration and integration with other functions that leads to shared goals and shared wins. Bring agile practices to more of our enterprise.
  • Establish stretch goals and organize teams to accomplish results within budget and on schedule.
  • Be responsible for the global IT community and assure a hard-working technology team that collaborates optimally across different functions and geographies.
  • Build a strong and attractive engineering culture while working with a flexible, agile, and iterative approach that draws next-generation talent to build their careers with us.
Let\'s Talk About You:
  • Strong educational foundation and broad technical skill base
  • Over 15 years\' technology leadership experience, leading both product and multi-functional teams, in global environments.
  • Will have operated previously in a Chief Technology Officer, Chief Information Officer, or IT Director role with larger multi-functional leadership of teams
  • Strong candidates will demonstrate experience across the business processes and cultures of global Luxury Goods and Fashion businesses

  • Significant experience in software architecture and building digital products for customers and employees from early-stage concepts through to scaling and maturity.
  • Experience in growing, leading, and scaling hard-working technical teams with a code-quality attitude, with responsibility for application development, security, product control, architecture, and infrastructure operations.
  • Experience working in a cloud-first, SaaS-centric environment and in connecting cloud capabilities to a global network of stores, operational facilities, and partners.
  • Deep understanding of agile development methodologies and how to scale them up
  • Experience working with third-party integrations and partners on a global basis
  • Capable of building strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions.
  • Ability to influence and be \xe2\x80\x9cgraciously disruptive.\xe2\x80\x9d Isn\'t afraid of a challenge and ready to rethink traditions, practices and rules, pushing boundaries and the status quo.
  • Not afraid of failure and comfortable accepting risks, thinking \xe2\x80\x9cout of the box,\xe2\x80\x9d and acting accordingly.

  • Global work experience and a cross-border career path are a plus.
